Fuel Efficient cars are great types of vehicles when it comes to low emission vehicles and vehicles that do not require much gas but electric cars are better for saving the planet overall. Many people have been discouraged by electric cars and their dc motors because of the maintenance that it takes to keep these types of cars running at optimum efficiency. Many people also have traditionally disliked electric cars because of the time it takes to recharge them and the limited distance that a person can go in one of these vehicles. Recently many people have begun to realize that the benefits of owning an electric vehicle out weight the hassle because of the increased need many people see to save the planet. Many people are really seriously becoming more environmentally conscious because of rising fuel costs and noticeable global climate changes that could only have been caused by rising industry pollution and also from fossil fuel use.Brushless motors are better suited for the future of the electric car industry because of a decreased need for maintenance that many potential electric car buyers were put off about. Brushless DC motors are also more efficient than traditional DC motors. These factors add to the demand of DC motors by car manufacturers and the subsequent demand for electric cars by the general public. The brushless dc motor design is simpler than the traditional dc motor design in addition to this, making for an eliminated need to transfer power to the spinning rotor of the motor from the outside of the motor. There are some downfalls of the brushless dc motor; the brushless dc motor has a higher initial cost to consumers than that of the traditional dc motor. In addition to this the brushless motor requires more complicated speed controls.
