Fuel efficient cars are becoming more and more popular as gas prices go up in the US and in other countries. Electric vehicles are great money savers when it comes to lowering fuel costs and they are also great in order for people to take little steps to save the planet. Buying an electric car is not only a money saver on gas but also a way to cut down of global emissions of carbon. What separates an electric car from the hybrid car is that an electric car runs on only electricity while hybrid cars are fueled by gas. Many people may be put off by electric vehicles because it may take a while to charge these types of vehicles but this is beginning to change as many car companies are investing in electric cars in order to make them more capable. Car makers are also investing time in making electric cars more comfortable as many people are put off by the fact that traditional electric cars have not been as luxurious as gas powered cars.

In order to save the planet more people are going to have to get involved in making electric vehicles standardized in many countries. This can be accomplished only by some government intervention that will help the people who cannot afford fuel efficient cars. Energy efficient cars are the wave of the future as more and more people are becoming wary of the human effect on the environment. Humans have added to occurrences such as global warming and ozone depletion because of careless regulations on industry waste and growth. Buying a fuel efficient vehicle can be seen as a stepping stone toward efforts to save the planet. Energy efficient cars are also a step in the right direction towards human sustainability on this planet.
