Electric cars are more efficient than gas using cars in no small part because of the stepper motors much of them use. The electric car is better than the fuel efficient car on many different levels including fuel costs, maintenance, and emissions. The electric car is seen as the future of all car manufacturing and it is not hard to see why. The earth is a deteriorating place to live with all of the emissions of fossil fuels from the car industry as well as many other industries around the world. Making cars more efficient and changing their energy source to a more environmentally friendly one is seen by many as just the thing needed to turn the environmental situation around.
